After 2 years with many events being scaled down, or cancelled completely, this summer festivals are definitely back! Now we know there’s the ‘big’ ones but, as always, Herts, Beds and Bucks does not disappoint. If you want something closer to home (and maybe with less mud) check out our pick of local festivals taking place this summer.
BuzzStock
Leighton Buzzard’s first music festival, Buzzstock promises to give you two jam packed days of top entertainment from the UK’s best tribute acts on 1st & 2nd July. Rock out on Friday evening with Kazabian, Kaiser Thiefs and Oasish. Saturday is set for dancing with acts including Re-Take That, Kings of Lyon and The Police Academy, plus straight from the West End – MANIA: The ABBA Tribute.
Chilfest
Celebrating it’s 10th anniversary, Chilfest is taking place on 1st & 2nd July. The party starts on Friday night with some top tribute acts, followed by an eclectic mix of pop artists on Saturday. With Tony Hadley opening the show on Saturday, and The Proclaimers headlining, Chilfest 2022 is a party not to miss.
Pennfest
Taking place in The Big Park, Bucks over 22nd and 23rd July 2022. PennFest has a packed line up including Clean Bandit, Jake Bugg, Rudimental, Feeder, Katy B, Shola Ama and many many more! If you’re bringing the children, then check out the Kids Kingdom packed with activities & performances to keep the whole family entertained.
Towersey Festival
…your forever festival! Set in the beautiful Claydon country estate, Towersey Festival is a genuine community of music, creativity, friendship, and fun. Enjoy their packed programme with 4 days of music, dance, spoken word & comedy, food, real ale & cider, crafts, games, workshops, and fun for all ages whilst camping under the stars with family and friends. Taking place from 26th to 29th August 2022.
Pub in the Park
Returning to St Albans from 9-11 September 2022, join The Hairy Bikers & Simon Rimmer for the UK’s biggest celebration of food and music. Pub in the Park brings award-winning restaurants, banging live music, incredible chefs, and of course great food! You can party to Kaiser Chiefs, Melanie C, Beverley Knight, Sophie Ellis Bextor, and more, whilst tucking into dishes from The Mariners, The Bull & Last, The Hand and Flowers, Atul Kochhar Restaurants, and more!
