Female Founders Succeed

An Event to Inspire Local Female Business Owners to Redefine and Envision their Version of Success

Join us on 6th March!

To mark International Women’s Day, Chiltern Biz Collective is hosting an inspirational and energising day for local female business owners on 6th March 2025. The focus for our day will be to discuss and define our own version of success to support you to create a “YOU shaped” business.

We will be joined by local female founders who will be sharing their experiences and their version of success. Throughout the morning we will be encouraging you to reflect on and consider your own version of success with a set of questions and prompts. In the afternoon you will bring these thoughts to life by creating a vision board.

As well as hearing from our speakers we have built in plenty of time for you to meet and connect with fellow attendees and to have discussions on the theme of the day & more.

Key Information

The event is taking place on Thursday 6th March between 09:30am and 2:30pm, at Ashridge House, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, HP4 1NS

The event is open to all local business women in and around The Chilterns.

Tickets sales are now closed.

The Agenda

This is an outline agenda and may be subject to change.

As you can see, you are invited to arrive from 09:30; however the talks won’t begin until 9:45am and we will be relaxed & welcoming. So if you need to drop the kids off/ walk the dog/ do any more of the ‘juggle’ before arriving then that’s fine, just get there when you can!

The formal agenda for the day will be finished by 2:30pm.
For 2025 we have added an optional ‘Brew & Biz’ session for you to stay for an hour of discussion and connecting with other attendees, with a cuppa.
Again, we appreciate the ‘juggle’ that all solopreneurs and business owners face so if you need to leave early then it’s totally fine – just let us know.

Our Speakers

Corinne Wallington

The event will be hosted and facilitated by Chiltern Biz Collective owner, Corinne. After a 14 year career in HR, and 2 babies, Corinne decided to venture into the small business world. After initially trying her hand with a product based business, Corinne moved into social media management and then running Chiltern Biz Collective membership & events.
She is an experienced facilitator and trainer, as well as a confident public speaker. Throughout the day, Corinne will be guiding you through questions and prompts to encourage you to consider what is important to you and what your version of success is; leading to a vision boarding activity in the afternoon.

Ruth Wallington, founder of Hello Ruth

Over the past 15+ years, Ruth has built a successful online business selling handmade cards and photo gifts. She sells on Not On The High Street and Etsy, as well as her own website.
Ruth has needed to adapt to many challenges and changes in consumer habits over the years, and has kept a clear focus on profit to ensure continued business success. Ruth has built her business to work around her family life.
She will tell us more about her business & experiences, and share with us what success means for her.

Carli Wall, founder of Business Bestie

Carli is a mentor, advisor, accountability partner and chief cheerleader, helping her clients to get stuff done and to run their small business in a way that works for them.
Carli chooses how to run her business and has set herself clear boundaries. Among others, she works mainly in person 1-2-1 and manages her time to take the majority of the school holidays off to spend time with her family.
She has successfully blocked out the “you should be doing this” to create a business that works for her, and that she enjoys running. Carli will share with us her own experience of how she has done this and her version of success.

Kristy Glenister, founder of 4cast Bookkeeping

Kristy is passionate about bookkeeping being more than just tax returns and financial admin. She works closely with her clients to help them understand their numbers so they can set achievable goals for their business (& life).
Kristy will share with us her own experience of setting up a business and the decisions she’s made along the way.
She will also be reminding us of the importance of knowing our numbers, which ones are most important to track and how these form part of your definition of success (even when your end goal isn’t financial).
