Hello, I’m Debbie, the illustrator behind Debbie Shrimpton Illustrates. I create hand-drawn, joy-filled artwork that captures the magic of special places and meaningful moments.
Debbie Shrimpton Illustrates grew out of the Covid pandemic, when my work as a freelance childrenswear fashion designer came to an abrupt halt and I used that moment to pivot creatively. What began with house portrait commissions soon expanded into a wide range of illustrated work, including local landmark prints, wedding venue illustrations, pet portraits, high street scenes, classic cars and campervans, business portraits and memorable views.
My recognisable style is available as framed prints, bespoke commissions, tea towels and greeting cards, and is showcased at markets, events, in magazines and on my website. Inspired by my background in fashion, my freehand style, attention to detail and fresh colour palette create what customers call “happy pictures”, illustrations that capture memories and bring them to life, making people smile every time they see them.
