Situated in the heart of beautiful, historic Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ‘Creative Collective’ is a gifts and lifestyle pop up shop that brings together small, independent businesses, sharing space under one roof. Founded by Sinéad Bernhauser of lifestyle brand ‘Hot Haveli’, we’re home to an ever-changing selection of around 45 sustainable makers, designers and artists. We provide an opportunity for start-up and small brands to have a presence on the High Street in a bustling, supportive and friendly space.
We’re known for being a little oasis of calm and creativity on the High Street and there is always a warm welcome for you from our volunteer team, who are on hand to help find the perfect unique gift or special home styling piece. Creative Collective in Berkhamsted has a wide variety of beautiful products, from fair trade jewellery, art, cards, glassware and candles, to natural beauty, organic products and fragrances. We’re proud to have been able to support our amazing sellers and customers throughout the lockdowns by providing a popular ‘click and collect’ and local delivery service. Now we’re celebrating being fully open again (socially-distanced of course), and it’s been fabulous to see so many of our regular customers, and lots of new ones, dropping by to say hello.
Like many High Street businesses, we’ve been thinking creatively during these challenging times about how to continue to deliver an exciting and innovative shopping experience. We’ve always been committed to socially-conscious shopping, so we’re delighted to announce that we’ve launched our new ’Vintage & Sustainable Lifestyle’ rooms in the Berkhamsted pop up.
There are two rooms full of exciting new products, such as designer and statement vintage fashion from local specialist ‘Inkahra’ and Africa-inspired handmade clothing from MassassiB. We’ve got hand block printed loungewear from Hot Haveli & handmade bags from repurposed jeans, by Lily Handmade Bags. Plus, lots of must-have retro and vintage homewares & furniture from Gigil Home, 12th Tree and Grow & Gather.
We’re passionate about supporting brands that provide great quality & sustainable products and love to welcome makers & sellers who fit with our ethos. So if you’re looking to add some wearable vintage fashion to your summer wardrobe, or you’re looking for a piece of mid-century furniture for your next home styling project, we could have exactly what you’re looking for! We’ve already had an amazing response from our customers and new pieces are added every week – so there is always a reason to pop in!
We’re also delighted to be back in our original pop up shop at 8&, 8 Leyton Road in Harpenden from 7th of June for two weeks. We’ll be showcasing new talented creatives and artists who will be joined by some of your favourites including Kate Buchanan, Mallow & White, Rachel Bellman, Jen Roffe, Made In Provence & 12th.tree
